BIO
Henthorn’s individual performance artworks disrupt established understanding of architectural spaces through intervention with the human body. Her collaborative works encompass additional topics. Multi-media projects with Toronto-based artist Faith LaRocque are based on the female body relating to its potential transformations, anxieties, and mythologies. And performances with the Crip Collective in Colorado emphasize the importance of the bodymind in the context of crip futurism.
She holds a PhD in Creative Practice as Research from University College London and an MFA from the University of Edinburgh. A Black Cube fellow alumnus, she has set site-specific performances within iconic architecture such as the at the U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, the Salk Institute, the Bauhaus Haus am Horn, and multiple Mies van der Rohe buildings.
