HAUS AM HORN

Haus am Horn was a prototype home built by the Weimar Bauhaus attempting to define a new type of house conceived in new terms. The children’s room embraced practices progressive for 1923, with furniture encouraging imaginative play.

This movement intervention offers a contemporary parallel to the Bauhaus’ break with the definition of family traditional at that time by representing a family with a same-gender couple in relation to the design of the Haus am Horn.

A photograph of the intervention was installed in new residence, also forward-looking in its design, in Denver, Colorado. It was featured in a private viewing and a commercial photo shoot advertising the sale of the residence.
